There are so many times in a year when you suddenly realise that it’s a special birthday or notable anniversary approaching. This calls to mind a few years ago when the grandparents were celebrating that amazing Diamond 60th anniversary It is some time ago now. So much so that it was still considered unusual enough for the local newspaper and tv station to send reporters along to the house! We all sat around the favoured pair, listened to them telling each reporter another version of the by now, very familiar tales. The card from the Queen was the star of the show mind you.
