There is myriad of homewares out there on special offers apparently.  This is probably because the bigger companies bought in masses of extra stock for the black friday sales in October and November.  This was a bit of a damp squib as there were dreadful storms sweeping the country and this put folk into cautious, non commital state.   There are many different ways to check out the latest trend in homewares;  these include reviews on the biggest video channel on the internet;  on tv there are many daytime lifestyle programmes that discuss the latest products hitting the shelves in the next few months.

At one time there was the retail industry bible called ‘good housekeeping’, which always reviewed the latest products in any range.  Be it perfumes or pans for the kitchen, somewhere there would be a review and a comparison between competing products.  The magazine was unbiased as they were not sponsored by any company.  It is reassuring that reviews are free and fair.  It is vital that consumers can rely on what is offered by way of comparisons reviews.  Mind you, it is sometimes difficult to review a product like a perfume – that is very mch a matter of personal taste and preference for either bouquets or earthy, woody aromas.   Value for money based on price and quality of packaging usually come into play here.
